Climate Uttarakhand (Uttaranchal)
experiences a cool and pleasant
climate throughout the year. However, the state
witnesses heavy snowfall in peak winters
(Nov-Feb) and equally heavy rainfall
from July-Sep. The best time to visit is
between Apr & June or between
Sep-Nov.
Language Garhwali and
Kumaoni are the two dialects of Pahari
language that are spoken in the state, along with
Hindi and English (in tourist
spots).
Connectivity Uttarakhand (Uttaranchal)
has two airports, Jolly Grant at
Dehradun and
at Pantnagar; a few train stations
- major ones at Dehradun, Haridwar and
Kathgodam; and the rest of the state is well
connected by good roads.
