Botanical Gardens at Ooty is home to
fossilized trees
that are more than 20 million years old, along with a variety

migratory as well as round-the-year residents. The Botanical
Gardens also offers a study of the flora found in and around Udagamandalam

during the British Raj, the Railway Station
itself is a World Heritage Site.

Fernhill Palace, Stone House, Lake and Boathouse

near Ooty, is becoming popular as a tourist
destination.
