Climate Ranakpur has a tropical
climate, with hot summers (average
temperatures 22-42 deg. celsius) and cool
winters (average temperatures 11-20 deg. celsius).
Monsoons do not bring much rainfall. The best
time to visit is from Sep-March.

Rajasthani, Hindi and
English (in
tourist spots).
Constructed in
AD 1439, Ranakpur temples are amongst the
five holiest places of the Jain
community. With an enormous basement covering 48,000
sq. ft area, there are four subsidiary
shrines, twenty four pillared
halls and eligibly domes
supported by over 1,444 columns, all of which
are intricately carved
, no two being
alike.
Other places
of interest in and around Ranakpur include the
wildlife sanctuary (where you can encounter
panthers, jackals, rare birds, wild-pigs, deer etc.),
Sadri (famous for beautiful
temples and a mosque),
Ghanerao (the
temple of Gajanand and a
castle converted to a hotel are famous here),
Narlai (at the base of a hillock
atop which stands a colossal statue of elephant),
Falna (some beautiful Jain
temples) and
Desuri.
