Patnitop has cool, dry summers from Mar-Sep (average temperatures 14-22 deg. celsius) and cold, snowy winters from Oct-Feb (average temperatures 0-10 deg. celsius).

At Patnitop, you can indulge in outdoor activities like trekking... several circuits like Sundarani- Jungal Gali-Jasarkote-Sanasar, Patnitop-Sanasar, Patnitop-Gourikund, Jammu-Katra-VaishnoDeviji, Kud-Sanasar, Sudmahadev, Mantali, extending upto Latti-Dhuna with excellent camping sites enroute are there while Patnitop, Kud, Sud-Mahadev, Mantalai circuits are being developed. All trekking routes are open in summer while some in winter .

You can also choose to ski in winter during Jan-Feb in the  gentle gradient slopes, making it suitable for beginners too. Aero sports like paragliding are becoming popular in May-June and Sep, when it is best suited for the sport. Other aero sports like parasailing and hotair ballooning are also becoming operational shortly.
