Climate Panna experiences
a tropical climate, with hot
and humid summers (which is also the
best time to view the
wildlife population of this park);
winters are cold but
comfortable. The temperature ranges around
31.4°C during the summer months and drops to around 13.5°C
during the winter months. Panna experiences
monsoon showers from July to
mid-Sep.

The
endangered species found in Panna National
Park include tiger, leopard, carcal, four-horned
antelope, Indian wolf, pangolin, rusty spotted cat, sloth bear and
Gharial, while mammals like wild
boar, hyena, sambar, chital, nilgai, chinkara,
chausingha, porccupine, jungle cat, hare, rattle, tree
shrew and gerbil also inhabit the park.
Crocodiles, both maggar and
gharial are found in the Ken river
besides a host of fish species, turtles
and other reptiles.
Situated on the Vindhyachal
Range of mountains, Panna is rich in
water falls and scenic
views. Pandav Fall, Brihaspati Kund, Nand-Chand,
Nachne, etc. are some of them. Several
temples like the Mahamati Prannathji
Temple, Padmavati Devi or Badi Devi Temple ,
Baldeoji Temple and Jugal Kishoreji Temple are
found in the region, the dominant architectural scheme of most
of them being plain, onion shaped domes,
uniformly homogenous. The decline of the Mughal
Empire saw Muslim
architectural wisdom appear in these temples.
