Climate
The weather in Orissa is tropical with three seasons, summer (with maximum temperatures between 40-46 deg. celsius), monsoons (July - Sep, and a little rain in Oct - Nov) and winter (Oct - Feb). Its humid in the coastal areas and the driest months are January and February.
Language
The official language Oriya, is spoken by a majority of the population, while some tribal dialects and English are also spoken in some places.
