Climate
Goa, being in the tropical zone, has a warm, humid climate for most of the year, with a short, cool season betweeen mid-Dec and Feb (temperatures range between 20-29 deg. celsius during this period). The Monsoons between June and Sep is a popular tourist season providing much respite from the heat.

Language
The main languages are Konkani, Marathi, Hindi, English and Portuguese.

Connectivity
Goa has an international airport at Dabolim and is well connected to the rest of the country by roads and the famous scenic coastal railway line - the Konkan Railway.

Come to Goa and sip a beer; relax with a massage or indulge in water sports at one of the sun kissed beaches at Candolim, Miramar, Calangute, Baga, Anjuna, Sinquerim, Vagator, Arambol or Harmal, Vainguinim, Bogmallo, Colva, Majorda, Arossim, Benaulim, Mobor, Varca, Cavelossim or Palolem.

Panjim (Panaji), the capital of Goa, is in North Goa on the banks of the Mandovi river estuary.  The boat cruises are a must for every tourist’s itinerary in Goa. Enjoy the different rhythms of the music, the boat, the drumming of the dancers’ feet and the rhythm of the Mandovi River flowing beneath you. The Santa Monica launch takes you gently down the river to the Dona Paula Bay, past the Adil Shah Palace.

All the communities in Goa have mutual respect towards one another and their secular outlook has given Goa a long and an unbroken tradition of religious harmony. Places worth visiting in Goa are Saptakoteshwar Temple at Narva, Mayem Lake, Fort Aguada, Panjim Handicrafts Emporium, Dona Paula Bay, Basilica of Bom Jesus, Se Cathedral, Museum of Christian Art, churches of old Goa, temples of Shri Manguesh at Priol and Shri Shantadurga at Kavlem, Ancestral Goa at Loutolim and Dudhsagar waterfalls.

What’s more, Gorgeous Goa’s exotic seafood will have you licking your fingers and asking for more. Traditional Goan cuisine  is now rarely available, but authentic dishes like the xacuti, have an original taste which is worth searching for and tasting.
