Climate Andhra Pradesh has extremely
hot and dry summers (with
temperatures shooting upto 45 deg. celsius)

the world and draws thousands of pilgrims everyday.
Warangal, the capital of the
Kakatiya rulers was once the heartland of
Telugu culture .

Telengana cuisine, apart from
the spicy pickles, has a variety of dishes in
vegetarian and non-vegetarian like
pulusu (a tamarind based liquid
gravy), pappu (essentially lentils),
gonghura mamsam (tangy
mutton curry with a predominant flavour of
ghongura, the local plant leaves used in cooking the
curry) and of course, the hyderabad
biriyani and mirchi ka
salan , available exclusively in this
state.
